The Problem

Most aviation operators run on 7 to 10 disconnected systems.

Scheduling doesn't talk to maintenance. Billing doesn't talk to compliance. The operator is left drowning in the noise. We call it the Franken-stack — and it isn't just expensive. It's a safety risk.

Time back
in the air.

Every hour your team spends stitching tools together is an hour not spent teaching, flying, or growing the business. Hilo gives it back.

One truth

Every scheduling, training, maintenance, billing, and risk signal lives in the same system.

Protection

Risk made visible.
Before you fly.

The facts that decide whether a flight is legal, and how risky it is, already live in your records — pilot currency and medicals, aircraft inspections and squawks, and the weather. The Flight Risk Center brings them together before every flight, so decisions get made on evidence, not fragments.

Legal stops are blocked with the regulation cited. Everything else is scored against your school's own limits — and the pilot in command or dispatcher makes the call.

Proof, Not Promises

FAA-cited. Audit-ready.
Every finding sourced.

Hilo's AI Curriculum Intelligence checks a training curriculum against the applicable certification standards — with every finding cited to the exact source, section, and page. You review every finding before anything changes.

The Philosophy

AI recommends.
You approve.

Hilo is designed with a co-pilot philosophy. The AI analyzes the data and makes recommendations — "crosswind is above your school's limit for this student," "reschedule Student 4 before the weather window closes," "this curriculum has a 0.9 hour gap vs §61.109." But it never overrides the human operator. Every recommendation includes context. Every decision is logged. The autonomy stays with the aviator — always.

Built For

One system.
Every aviation operation.

One aircraft at one field, or a fleet across five campuses — Hilo scales with the operation.

Questions, Answered

The questions we hear most.

Hilo is a single operating system with modular views. Scheduling, training, maintenance, billing, risk, messaging, and AI assist all share one database, one auth layer, and one UI vocabulary. One login, one invoice, one source of truth.

Every AI recommendation — risk scores, scheduling nudges, curriculum gaps — is surfaced with its supporting data and a plain-language explanation. Nothing autonomously dispatches, cancels, or modifies a record. The human aviator approves every action, and every approval is logged for audit.

Yes. Hilo is built for Part 61 and Part 141 flight schools. Logbook entries, endorsements and maintenance sign-offs use one compliant electronic signature process: the signer sees what they're signing, confirms intent and re-confirms identity, and the signed record is locked. Our AI Curriculum Intelligence cites FAA-S-ACS-6C, 14 CFR Part 61/141, FAA-H-8083-9B, AC 00-6B, and AIM exclusively — never a non-FAA source.

It depends on your fleet, locations, and programs — we scope a timeline with you during quoting. The onboarding importer brings people, aircraft, opening balances, future bookings and each pilot's hours flown over from spreadsheets or Flight Schedule Pro. You preview every import before it saves, and you can undo a whole batch.

Our goal is to bring your aviation operations into one unified system. To ensure a smooth transition, Hilo syncs with accounting and payments (including QuickBooks and Stripe), so your business keeps running while operations move into Hilo. For Enterprise customers, ATOS also connects to your maintenance tracking system, data warehouse or wireless hour meters by API, webhook or scheduled file exchange.

Hilo is priced per piece of equipment you operate — no tiers, no per-student fees. For a tailored quote based on your fleet, call us or visit the Pricing page.
